Bump

Where's BamaChick with the spoilers???

Anyway

There was mention of the Governor’s daughter. I’m looking forward to meeting that cute little tyke!
[Uproarious laughter -- which will be appreciated by readers of the comic book] I don’t want to reveal too much. But I will say that the opening scene of episode 5 is, uh…It’s going to be a pretty memorable one. So be on the look out for that.

frick yeah, looks like it's setting up for a good feeding!

I'm here!

As always - grain of salt and all that.

FYI - these summaries came from a different source than the one that spoiled last episode. The guy that posted last week's spoiler is always spot on, he usually doesn't post his spoilers until closer to Sundays so when/if he posts this week I will bring it over.

quote:

EPISODE 5: SAY THE WORD

The episode starts with the Governor who puts asleep his zombified daughter Penny who he is secretly hiding. Michonne finds zombies locked in a cage. She releases them and kills them with her katanna which she stole earlier from the Governor's home. She gets away from the town and tries to convince Andrea to do the same but she doesn't. During the evening a fight in a gladiator style with zombies is organized and unknown for the spectators, the human fighters are not in danger because the zobies' teeth had been removed removed after their capture. Meanwhile in the prison Rick gets mad and starts killing zombies alone. He reaches the room where Lori died and there is a phone in there which starts ringing at the end of the episode.

quote:

EPISODE 6: HOUNDED

Starting from the previous episode, Rick talks to the phone to the woman who tells him that she is on a safe place away from the zombies. He asks her where exactly she is but she doesn't tell him and ends the conversation. Later, a man rings and Rick tells him that he is with a group and that he has a son amd a new-born, and also that his wife died. The man asks him how did she die but Rick doesn't want to answer after wich the man cuts the conversation. Maggie and Glenn go out of the prison to search for food for the baby. Meanwhile in Woodbury, the Governor grows closer to Andrea and they eventually end up having sex. A group lead by Merle is sent to find and kill Michonne in the forrest. The group finds a cryptogramme of zombie parts made by Michonne and warning them to stay away but they continue searching for her. They fight and she manages to kill two of them. Zombies attack her and the others and she cuts the stomach of that which attaked her and she gets covered in blood. The other zombies just pass her by and she reallizes that the blood fools them. Merle, after killing Phil who was one of the group, reaches a town where he meets Glenn and Maggie. He takes her hostage and orders Glenn to drive to Woodbury while Michonne is watching from near. She reaches the prison and is met by Rick who had just gone outside in the yard after having hallucinations of Lori talking to him on the phone.

And here is the Episode 5 synopsis from the same source as last week-

quote:

Episode 5 follows a celebration in Woodbury. More gratuitous shots of punch and lemonade that mean nothing. The Governor brushes Penny's hair, a chunk of it rips out, and she has to be put to bed stuffed back in the closet with a sack over her head. Later, Michone sneaks into The Governor's house, retrieves her sword, reads his diary, almost gets busted as The Governor, Merle, and Milton enter. Michone sneaks out to the arena and does some sword practice, is found by the zookeeper and brought back to The Governor. Guv gives Michone his best Agent Smith impression before she takes back her sword and considers slitting his throat before making an exit. Michone and Andrea break up, and Merle lets Michone out the front gate of the town... a little too easy. Later that night, Merle and whatshisface participate in some zombie-style WWE.

Meanwhile at the prison, Daryl takes charge and makes a run with Maggie for baby formula. Rick charges into the prison, Tomas-style, and massacres some walkers. Later, Glenn, Axel and Oscar dig 3 graves. Glenn goes to find Rick, and Rick isn't very friendly. Daryl and Maggie find formula and return. Daryl feeds the baby and names her "Little arse-Kicker". Later he places a cherokee rose on Carol's empty grave.

Rick arrives at the scene of Lori's death... looks like Carl didn't finish the job. Undead Lori has dragged herself across the room and it's up to Rick to put a gun in her mouth and shoot her. For good measure, he also brutally stabs her in the stomach several times. Ring ring, phone call for Rick. But THEN WHO WAS PHONE?

Episode 6 will feature a 2nd run for baby formula. This is the one that will start a major turning point for 2 (or 3) characters... mostly for Glenn and Maggie. Episode 6 will also put Carol speculation to rest.

Assuming the spoilers are true, the governor is still portrayed way nicer than the comics. No raping, no cutting Ricks arm off, really no hate at all.

I will be kind of disappointed, extremely PG version of him. Most of his actions can be justified with "he did it to better Woodbury" whereas in the comics he was just a madman. Yes, Penny and the heads is somewhat weird but I don't think its enough.

Agreed, I'm hoping that as this season progresses he will become the true psycho that he's supposed to be. Especially once he encounters Rick's group, I feel that's when his character will take shape.

But yeah, he's way too nice right now.

The people inside Crazy Rick's head.

Not kidding.

We won't see The Governor cut off Rick's arm - Kirkman has said that his is biggest regret from the comics and he would undo it if he could.

And if he really kidnaps Maggie and Glenn, I could see Maggie getting raped instead of Michonne. It would be more impactful for the audience if the female character that gets raped is someone we have cared about and that has been on our screens longer than ~8 episodes.

Once again Bamachick is spot on. The only part that was off was about the zombie that Rick killed being Lori. It was a zombie that ate Lori.

Looks like we have another popular comic character joining the cast soon.

Warning. The article contains a spoiler in the form of the comic characters fate. I know this is a spoiler thread but I thought I'd still throw that out there.

TYRESE

Rumored to be played by Chad Coleman from The Wire.

ETA:

Kirkman has not actually confirmed Tyrese yet but his hints have heavily implied it. :fingerscrossed:
