I'm not an expert, but he has the ability and will likely play the 3 a bit while at LSU. This is pretty much solidified with us landing Martin.

When people talk about a combo forward, most of the time they mean the player has the size of a forward 6'6"-6'9" but likes to play from the perimeter. Most times these type of players are athletic. Alot of them had large growth spurts where they were not always the tallest kid in the class.

They are nice because they usually have skills such as a midrange jumper and dribbling ability while having the size to guard low post players. They fit very well into what Jones wants to do because he wants these athletic players who can run fast breaks and play tough defense.

Mickey said earlier that he knows he needs to play the three spot to make it to the nba and that he plans to get that opportunity at LSU. I'm paraphrasing but that's the gist.

We have 2 very versatile players between Mickey and Martin. Both are combo 3/4's. Mickey is a bit thicker than Martin is.

I actually think Martin is thicker.

Looking at Martin today I would find that hard to believe
