me as well and plus the combo of my battery pack constantly losing touch with the controller was really pissing me off.

You haven't been through anything yet. Trust me. There are some parts that are insanely hard. "Die 15 times pissed off" kind of hard.

That wasn't my issue. It's the actual ending itself. Not gonna put spoilers, but damn that wasn't how I wanted it.
343 took some risky ideas and ran with them.

I agree that there were some good ideas in this game, 343 put a distinct spin on the universe. That does not offset (imo of course) the fade to black ending.
