I am well aware that this has been discussed ad nauseum for years, especially during Bama hate week. However, I feel it necessary call attention away from the hype and the buzz words and the deification of the almighty Saban, in the hopes that some perspective may be gained.
The following are comparisons between the HC records of the aforementioned deity of college football and our very own "bumbling idiot" Les Miles.

*ties excluded from calculation of WPct.
Career Record:
Les: 110-40 (12 seasons)
73.3% WPct

Nick: 154-54-1 (17 Seasons in CFB)
73.7% WPct

In his 1st 12 seasons: 98-48-1 (67%)

Record at LSU:
Les: 82-19
81.2%
(51-15 in first 5 years -77.3%)

Nick: 48-16
75%

WPct before LSU:
Les: 57.1%
Nick: 61.4%
(Nick in 1st 4 seasons: 60.8%)

Last 5 seasons (plus the current season):
Les: 60-15 (80%)
Nick: 63-12 (84%)

Record vs one another: 3-3

Say what you want, or say nothing at all, but the difference between these two coaches is minute at best. This half fearful/half reverent worship of Nick Saban while calling Les a fool is pathetic and illogical.

Flame away.

Some one will come along and credit Chavis or Saban's recruits for that record.

That's fine. As long as they credit Muschamp and DiNardo's recruits for Nick's first 4 at LSU.

I agree but check the last six years Saban vs. Miles. That is more realistic for this game and team

The records for the last 5 years, plus this season are at the bottom of the list. Bear in mind there were several very close games which we lost during that period (UK 07, Arky 07, pick an Auburn game, etc). I'm sure the same is true for them, but the fact remains the 3 games is NOT a huge difference.

Ftr, I love how the negatards, Miles haters, and Sabanites will spew their vitriol in seconds if there is an opinion thread, but you hit them with comprehensive unbiased numbers that don't fit into their schemas they flatly refuse to acknowledge them.
