I was all excited to see the new Fox Sports New Orleans. Woke up at 4:30 for work. Went into the living room. Switched the channel excitedly to 1038. My Pillow Informercial.

This morning my guide still said FSHHD and listed the Mavs for tonight. But the deals are in place so I expect to see the Hornets on my TV tonight.

Yeah it's on 1738 with Uverse but doesn't "turn on" until Hornets pregame. That's not exactly a soft launch.

Cox in Kenner, channel 1038, is now showing the game, as well as "Hornets Live" pre/post game shows.

Also, the top right graphic is still showing Fox Sports Southwest... is this supposed to change to New Orleans, or is that only during the game broadcast?

The soft launch was the FS affiliate you have, wherever that is, showing you things like SEC football instead of what was listed. That and they hype on the radio and billboards.

Those were there words, and that's what they chose for the meaning.

I suggest everyone freak out until game time, then watch the game.

Then go read about how Fox Sports handles things, borrows feeds from affiliates, etc.

It's funny how much people care about everything that isn't the game when it was supposed to only be about the games. People are hilarious.

The station that the game is listed on is not a re-use of a station on Uverse, 42. It's an entirely new station that is not on air right now.

On the 31st. Like you said, condescendingly over and over to everyone. Just wait until the 31st.

Now it's the 31st, and people who don't have it should just "wait until gametime"? Why is it only about the games? This has been handled poorly.

Browdown, do you think I'm controlling it?

I'm telling you what the people send out to people in emails.

If the distributors make choices, then they are free to do that.

Read the article.

Yes, I'm condescending to people who don't read, whine about what's handed to them after they beg for it, then complain that they want more.

Whhhhaaaa, my cable provider screwed up the TV station launch! It didn't go the way I wanted it to!!!

So, yeah, kiss it.

If you want to complain, call your provider.

But consider how often this will happen? consider how much of an inconvenience it is to your life.

Get some perspective.

On the contrary, I know you DON'T control it, which is why I think you shouldn't take it so personally.

Did I say YOU handled it poorly? No, I think the providers did and still are.

But hey, as long as the game is on tonight for everyone that's all that matters. No hard feelings whatsoever man.

I'll buy you a $5 beer and pay $6 for it!

ETA: I wish this was handled better, too. It'll be perfect in half the cases, good in 40%, and screwed up in 10%. It'll work out.

Didn't take it personally. Bad assumption.

I responded to the soft launch gripe, then made a general reply.

Settle down.
