Developing..

I had thought Disney already owned them with all the Star Wars stuff being sold at Disney locations.

Excellent.

Maybe Disney will do Star Wars properly. Jar-Jar Binks will be replaced by Lion King, who will do a lightsaber duel with Beast.

Interesting fact of the day, Lucas films owns the word droid, anytime you see a droid commercial look at the bottom and you will see a disclaimer.

Whoa - I was kidding of course but according to the Washington Post writeup we have this jewel:

It’s also making a seventh movie in the “Star Wars” series called “Episode 7,” set for release in 2015, with plans to follow it with Episodes 8 and 9 and then one new movie every two or three years.

Sound like the Disney Empire is going to strike back in the name of decent moviemaking. :rimshot:

No, they just had a strong relationship and licensing agreement with Lucas due to the development of the 2 Lucas franchises that have associated attractions in the theme parks: Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

If Disney could do Star Wars properly, then why haven't they? Instead they felt it was smarter to buy the original, and capitalize on what already exists. Maybe you might want to re-think your belief that the franchise is in better hands now.

Because they didn't own the franchise?
