Is there even any debate that OKC got the better of the deal?

They just traded a 23 year old player who blew up in his last year and was one of the most efficient offensive players in the league. And he plays the position in the NBA that is the most difficult to find currently. So yeah, I'd say there is a little debate.

I was about to respond to Vick's Kennel Club asking if there are two more similar players than Manu and Harden. Even down to the fact that they don't finish with their right hand.

no not really

Harden isn't the reason OKC has won

Martin can fill his role as well if not better and the team doesn't have to deal with what may have become a malcontent not getting what he wanted....and if you don't think that may or would have happened than you don't follow the NBA

it won't be better, but he may be close to harden's equal. but it likely will only be for one year. then lamb has to show that he's ready or they're going to have issues

for how awesome durant and westbrook are at offense, OKC doesn't have many other good offensive players

Losing Harden is going to hurt the Thunder this year, if you don't see that there really is nothing more to say.

And the Thunder were offering Harden $55.5 million over four years. Pretty similar.

He averaged 29 pts per 36 w Westbrook not on the court and 31 pts per 36 w Durant off the court.

You have to think about who he was playing against when putting up those numbers though. The numbers are even more impressive when you see all of them

harden is very similar to manu

This would be a good comparison, if Harden could defend. Manu's defensive abilities are often underrated. Offensively Harden and Ginobili are very similar players.

Put all those stats away, everyone knows Harden will suck in Houston. I mean HE CAME OFF THE BENCH last year.

Only idiots would bring up actual statistical analysis to back up their argument. "Gut feelings" ONLY

If its just Lin/Harden and a bunch of scrubs of course he'll fail like any player not named Lebron would. If Houston is able to get other good players to put around him he'll do great.

I love how people keep bringing up the money arguement. 4.5 million is ALOT of money. Plus he gets to lead his own team and prove that he is a great player.

James Harden is a very underrated and under appreciated player. Hes the 6th man of the year, an all star, and an olympian. I think people will be surprised come midseason of how good Harden is as a player. I think he'll average 20-25 points a game. I also think the rockets will continue to add pieces around Harden in the near future. Morey is a monster of a GM and he just makes shite happen like hes done with bringing in Harden and Lin.

He's been overthinking himself lately. He redeemed it somewhat with this.

You think bringing in Lin and giving him all that money was a good move?

He's quite good in a pick and roll system with a dynamic PF and no 2 or 3 that carries the load.

Unfortunately this is the exact opposite of what Houston has now.

League will be fricked after the Rockets trade for Rudy Gay or Zach Randolph. Lebron is lucky there was a season last year because he isn't winning another ring.
