My biggest Buck to date

I posted this on the "official 2012-2013 trophy post" but, thought I would post for all to see.
This is my biggest buck, I've ever taken to date. Will have him scored today and then it's off to the taxidermy tomorrow. Killed in Claiborne Parish on 10/28 with a rifle. Believe it or not the bullet entered between the neck and right shoulder and exited behind the left rib cage. Stunk a little but, he was down within 30 yards. May not be a trophy to a lot but, he's a hell of a deer to me.

I woulda shot him at our place. There's only a few out there bigger than that. Once I killed him, then I would shoot does and get picky for the rest of the season. That's what I did last year. Shot a nice 8 on opening day of muzzle loader and didn't shoot another buck except for one jacked up looking cull for the rest of the season. I hammered the doe population though. We are really trying to thin our herd out so we can improve our quality. Congrats! You should be proud.
