Could LSU put in a request for an officiating crew from another conference for the Bama game or do SEC crews always officiate SEC games? Alabama is already a very tough team to beat, not sure why they always are able to get a bama crew to officiate SEC games.

Yeah, because saying that is redundant.

SEC officials are under contract to officiate SEC conference games. No way Mike Slive allows another conference's officials in a game of this magnitude.

That being said...I sure hope it isn't Ritter or Penn Wagers. I'd love for Matt Austin or Marc Curles to officiate it. The Williams guy is pretty solid....Don't have any heart burn with Hubert Owens' crew either.

meh

I thought the SEC crew did a better job last November than the out of conference crew did in the NC game.

Did you actually think about what you were about to ask? There will be some dumb questions on the Rant this week but this will definitely be one of the dumbest. Congrats

Good news is Ritter has already officiated two LSU SEC conference games. Bad news is...Penn Wagers has only done one.

Marc Curles and Matt Austin haven't done any LSU games yet.

My bet would be Ritter. Believe he did the 2009 game and 2011 as well. Don't know about 07, 08 or 2010.

Hell no they can't request that. The refs are our ace in the hole!
