Update on RSJ - aTm lean?
Posted by Cousin on 10/28/12 at 9:52 am00
He sprained his ankle in the game on Friday but the biggest part of this story is.....he was wearing aTm gloves in the game!!! It's not over yet but this is not a good sign either..would still love to have him in BR.

What would you recommend I change it to?

Did you see his ankle when he sprained it, cause its all about the socks, here. Gloves mean nothing.

With no inside info at all, I see him becoming a bigger longshot with each successive week. This based on watching our offense vs. aTm's offense.

I feel ya...I am hoping he is just thinking about how he can come to LSU and make a difference at receiver. I hope he sees that we are actually trying to pass the ball. The balls are being either overthrown or dropped.
Also, I hope he forms a good bond with CJJ. We can't forget about the bball aspect to this.

Really? I never heard anything about it. What you got?

Just he does want to play both sports in college, and since the beginning of his recruitment, JJ has been on him that he could play on the basketball team, while teams like Texas (when they were in it) and A&M started it recently.
It stands out to him that the LSU basketball interest is genuine and not as much of an attempt to get him to sign on the dotted line for us as compared to the other schools

Ya think? If you were a HS WR, would you rather play for the team that hung 63 on AhBarn, or the team that struggled to put up 10?
No brainer-unless you are a RB willing to RS, or an offensive lineman that likes run blocking, why would anyone that desires to play offense come play in this disaster? It becomes self perpetuating-defensive players lining up to play for the Chief, continuing to scare off WR and QB recruits, and continuing to have to lean on defense and special teams. Not sure how we break that cycle without a splash hire at OC and some STRONG indication LM will keep his nose out of his calls.

I guess you would need to ask all the guys that want to come play here.

I'm pretty sure you just made this up.
A&M and LSU were the ones legitimately offering him a spot to play basketball. Texas was not.

frick all that. Miles has a history of sending receivers to the league. Plus if you are the number 1 target at LSU you put up numbers even in the JL JJ years. But Miles is the recruiter and he has the facts.

Why would he not play with Johnny M.????
re: Update on RSJ - aTm lean?Posted by coachmike76 on 10/28/12 at 1:51 pm to namvet6566
because Manziel can't read defenses if he's stuck in the pocket...

A&M has a 6'5" receiver who is really good and only a freshman. LSU doesn't have anything close to this right now but desperately needs one.
