Yeah, pretty much the same here.

iPhone user since the original, WP8 won as my choice for next OS for many reasons, so getting familiar with Windows 8 should help ease the switch a bit.

I've been waiting for Win8 Phone since the 900 came out but my experience with Win8 has me taking a step back. I will wait for plenty of reviews before pulling the trigger on W8P.

I've been using the consumer preview version for just over a month.. I like it and it did take a little bit to get used to it but essentially windows gonna windows. I did a fresh install of it again on the 26th and when I went to Netflix it told me I had to download the app from the store. Consumer preview does not have the full App Store ( or at least doesnt at the time)and and the Netflix app wasn't there. So, went back to the Netflix website using incognito mode on Chrome and it allowed me to download Silverlight and then exited incognito and Netflix worked in the regular window without a redirection message.

Haha I haven't played anything in months. I've been working way too much. I even let my XBL subscription run out.

First off, it won't take long to get used to the new system. If you don't like the metro interface, all you have to do is click the desktop tile and you are right back to the old look minus the start button.

Ahh thank you I may consider Windows 8 again now.. I first tried it months ago and literally could not navigate without the Start menu below.. so you are saying this will allow me to have my start menu.

No. You can use the old desktop, but it doesn't have a search option. If the program you want to use isn't on the desktop, then you need to use the search charm to find it.

Computer still reboots anytime I turn it off or put it to sleep.

Seems to me like the start screen apps load a bit too slow.

I continue to be impressed with the much better use of resources {memory & CPU}. This bodes well for the Windows Phone. It should have a pretty good battery life.

Weird. Consumer preview does the same thing. I thought this would have been fixed on the official release.

I mean, it takes you to the metro screen, but the search feature can be accessed from the desktop.
