I was wondering what percentage of male LSU fans have wives that are die-hard fans as well.

My wife would skip her best friend's wedding for the LSU/Bama game if we had tickets. She gets more into the games than I do.

Does your SO care about LSU football as much as you do?

When our girls got engaged the first thing my wife told them was no fall weddings if you want your parents to attend.

We have good friends that are USCw alums, big fans. They just told us that they're getting married next September, and want us to be there. The first thing the old lady said to her was "did you check the LSU schedule before you put any deposits down?"

I do - I do ! When we go to games out of town, the other wives go shopping and I hang out with the guys at sports bars watching the other games until it's time to watch the Tigers play.

My wife doesn't care about football at all. She only cares about LSU football because I do. She has never given me grief about a game over someone's event. She knew the dill when we got married, if its a football game that's where I will be over a function.

There are things that I concede to her for because of this. It works for us and she enjoys the games she comes to but isn't into it.

Yes... Except mine is an Alabama alum. January sucked!!! She is far from obnoxious like most Gumps however.

My wife tricked me. She acted like she was into sports, now that we're married she couldn't care less.

Oh well, I forgive her.

Our first "date" was the 2007 national championship. If she didn't love LSU as much as I do, we wouldn't be together.

my wife is a big LSU fan of both football and baseball. A couple of years ago at a friday baseball game, they gave out baseball cards of the players . My wife went back that Sunday while
I was working so she can get the players to autograph them. She came home excited cause she got them all signed . The cards are now behind a glass frame, hanging in my house.

She is not even close on the same level of intensity that I am on. I think she pretends to like it just because I love it so much. She can go either way on it.

My wife loves football and we deck the dog out in LSU shirt for the game... only because we usually suck when he doesn't wear it. If you noticed games turning around you can pretty much figure we just remembered to put the shirt on the dog.

That said she is a bigger NFL fan than I am and I am a bigger college fan than she is.

We got married on Sept. 3 and my wife thinks a road trip to an away game is a perfect anniversary gift!

She's so into LSU sports (basketball and baseball too) that she often knows past players names, positions, and game outcomes that some of my guy friends don't!!

My wife is a crazy LSU football fan. I have pulled her out of two fights in Death Valley and one in Bammers house. Knows all the players, the coaches, and the entire LSU history. I admit I don't know who the backup to the backups are, she does.

To make it even better she loves off shore fishing too! She catches her own bait and takes her own fish off.

She is the radical, while I am a fan. Thank goodness one of us stays sober to keep the other from being totally stupid. I'll let you figure which is which. Oh, she is all of 5'1 in the tallest of her shoes. She thinks she is Big Sam when other fans disrespect us at home. She lets them know it's OUR house and she is not shy about it.

I would be the same way, FemaleTiger. My husband and I are LSU alumni living in St. Louis, and though we haven't gotten to attend any games in person in a while, we are rabid Tiger fans and love college football as a whole. We never miss an LSU game. My husband would be the first to tell you that I get even more into it than him, and know more about the players and team stats, etc. I've impressed our good friend, also an LSU alumnus and a high school football coach up here, because he's never met a female who is as into it as I am.

It damn near killed me last year when we had to attend my childhood best friend's wedding a couple of hours away, and then wait to watch the 1st (and the only one that mattered, in our opinion) game against Bama on delay on the DVR. For anyone else, we would've sent our regrets, but we had to be there for the ceremony and at least a little of the reception before high-tailing it home.

This is my first post after reading posts on this site since 2006. I just thought I'd chime in, since for once, you guys are mentioning those female football fans.

My wife is a 'social fan'. Although, when we were in college, she was one of those girls that was obsessed with getting the opposing players cell phone numbers and calling them. She got Tim Tebow to answer the phone in '07

Yes sir! Give her the pickle if she doesn't like it.

Mine, she's casual. I coached high school for twelve years, but she still doesn't know as much as she should. Now, she's saying Bama is gonna kill us, and all is not well at home.
