In the ATM game, LSU converted just 2-of-16 on third down. Against the four SEC opponents the Tigers are converting only 20-of-66 for 30 percent.

This is the stat that has to improve so our defense isn't out there all night. A lot of the problem has been predictability of routes with keeping TE in to block. Underneath routes need to be in the arsenal next week.

It's hard to run underneath routes when the middle is constantly clogged. We will need receivers to make plays on the outside down the field.

I think the biggest factor will be who scores the most points

It's sad that we are better percentage wise on 4th than 3rd down.

Nope, that's gonna be touchdowns.

Whoever has the most will win. AKA - whoever converts best in the red zone (on any down)

Two td's will win this game.

This actually happens more often than not. You don't go for it on fourth down very often and its obviously going to be a favorable situation when you do. i.e. 4th and inches, or 4th and a yard.

What stood out for me on 1/9 was the self-inflicted sh*t we did on first and second down that killed any shot at momentum. False starts that put us at 1st and 15. Sh*tty play calling and execution in the early downs leading to unmakeable yardage on third down.

Bama has lost four games in three years. Only teams to beat them had +100 yards rushing.

2011-LSU (148)
2010-Auburn, LSU, South Caro (116 AU,220 LSU, 110 South Caro)
2009-Nada

not necessarily, that’s why they play the game

Exactly.

What you posted was a stark difference.

But what you didn't post was defense. And we are right there up with them in the top of the nation in every category.

I will say we have played USCe and UF while they haven't really played a tough D yet (not that those 2 games unfairly skewed the stats or anything but still).
