I'd first see how far this $975 will take me with this...

Dicks Sporting goods had a sale on the Franchi a while back dropping them from $1200 to $850. My buddy bought the last one up there. I've shot it a bunch and really really like it. Brand new it had a little trouble ejecting but that is to be expected with a new gun. It's made by Beretta so I'm kind of bias. Though browning makes a nice over/under. My dad has a Browning and a Franchi.

i may be wrong, but i think Franchi and Stoeger are made by Benelli... the same action, etc..

That's why I like my Stoegers so much... but cheaper than franchi, and much, much cheaper than benelli..

26" barrels? Looks like a good price for the gun. What do you plan to use it for? Lots of people prefer longer barrels shooting clays, but it would make a great woodcock gun...

You are correct about Franchi. Their website has "2012 BenelliUSA" at the bottom of the page.

They are all owned by Beretta along with I think Tikka and Burris.

The Citori is a very good gun and that looks like a pretty good price. My Beretta O/U has 26" barrels and they don't bother me hunting but I don't shoot skeet.
