Going to Denver for Saints game. Best place for Saturday night? Thinking steakhouse. Prefer no chain steakhouses. Open to all suggestions. TIA.

I'm a mere tourist, with very limited Denver knowledge. Hopefully, clamdip or other Mile High Tigers will help you out.

Sent a gift certificate for Potager to a local a few months back. He called later and said it was his wife's favorite restaurant in the area.

well if you dont want chains that rules out

Del Friscos
The Keg
Mortons
The Palm
Capital Grille

All of those are money but not sure if id consider them chains outside of the Palm and Mortons

If you're downtown then the 21st street mall area is where everything is. I recommend the following

Elways Steakhouse
Buckhorn Exchange
Denver Chophouse and Brewery

also if you have time i recommend

Wynkoop Brewery- really cool old building with tons of microbrews

Earls Restaurant- upscale with good food and known for their hot women

my company is based out of denver and i go once a month.

A must, the place has been serving steaks since the 1800's. Very unique place.

It is 16th street mall.

I live here and the food sucks. Spend your money on the great beer and just eat at sandwhich shops and what not. Even the high end places are bland and just so so. Denver is expensive also.

We have the best beer distribution in the country so focus on that.

If you must eat, I recommend Biker Jims, Hops and Pie, and Euclid Hall. Seriously, dont expect to be impressed with the food here.

Really? I was there this summer and found it to be about the same as Dallas price wise.....and Dallas is very affordable. I was mostly in Lodo. I was there for the beer but we ate at a gourmet hotdog place one night that was fantastic.. Biker Jim's

Chop House is where it's at for steaks in a local setting IMO

Denver is not a great food city IMO, atleast when I lived there

Went there 2 years ago and loved it. Had a fantastic bison steak, and on the side an ostrich steak. Both were very well done!

I got a whole grilled trout at Jax Fish House and it was a tasty little creature.
