I know Abita is looked down upon on this board and honestly rightfully so. Nothing bad about them, just really mediocre. However I'm curious to see what the FDB's favorite Abita brew is.

I would have to say Restoration Ale. Really underrated, imo. Nice malt balance and some bittering hops, something Abita doesn't really do all that much.

Abita is awful. I'd like to try the oyster stout though. Jockamo is one of the worst ipas ive had tried.

I don't think any of it is bad, just none of it is great.
I like having an Abita Amber in the fridge alot of the time. Like Andy Gator.

The best stuff I've had from them were the "select" offerings on tap. I know very few bars carry these, but there have been some good beers come and go on the rotation over the years.

Because its a very mediocre brewery that makes very average to below average beer.

Andy Gator, Abbey Ale and the Pecan Ale.

I had always wanted to try the Oyster Stout, but I don't think they served it at any places in the Lafayette area. Glad to hear they're bringing it back, hopefully will get a chance to drink this time around.

I couldn't tell you the last time I have had an Abita in the fridge.

I still have a 25th Anniversary Doubledog somewhere in the beer fridge. I really enjoyed that one on cask and the bourbon barrel aged one was awesome. The standard version was just alright.
