LSU has a pretty stout Defense. Loaded with a lot of hyped up Juniors. Which Juniors do you think will be returning to school next year?

Barkevious Mingo
Bennie Logan
Sam Montgomery
Kevin Minter
Larmin Barrow
Craig Loston
Eric Reid
Tharold Simon

8 of our starting 11 are Juniors

Ultimately it's up to them. Montgomery could have gone last year and been a top 10 pick. Could he do the same again this year?

Montgomery I could agree with. But I don't think Simon is having the year he was expecting. He's been solid, but not on the level of his predecessors in Peterson and Claiborne.

Simon said he wants to be a 1st round Corner.

Simon isn't playing like a first-rounder right now

I didn't realize we didn't have a single senior starting. Well depending on who starts between Downs and Johnson.

3 Freshman
1 Sophomore
8 Juniors

If you count the Nickel.

I would say Mingo is more likely to leave than Simon. Mingo would get drafted so high no matter what kind of year he has based on potential and how the NFL always reaches for pass rushers.

I remember Sam Montgomery saying something like unless he feels the guy behind him can step up and play on his level then he will return. He did it last year..

I think if Montgomery returns he can persuade some of those "tough decisions" to return for a stellar year.

Mingo is high up on Kipers Big Board. Above Montgomery in fact.

I think he'd make a great 3-4 LB

Middle LBs don't typically go that high, but if Minter keeps playing at this level he could be a top 10-15 pick.

Logan is iffy as well.

Agreed on the others though

I think the Bennie Logan and Kevin Minter talk is a bit premature. They are both great college players, but Idk if either would grade out as first rounders right now.

Minter will not go above Manti Te'o. So he will not be a Top 10-15 Pick.

A lot of these borderline top round players have a huge test next week and could strongly make a case for it, or drop off. Like Simon, Minter, and Logan.

Montgomery and Mingo have already made their case and are considered 2 of the prizes of the draft if they go.

Reid is considered one of the top safeties in the nation. I think he's played down from last year though. But is still having a better season then most out there.

Wouldn't that be something if they all come back, Tyrann returns, and Mett improves and becomes a steady QB for 2013. I know, dreaming, but man it would be nice.

dre kirkpatrick didn't play like a first rounder last year and you see what that got him. His coverage hasn't been perfect but it has been good this year. He is playing like a first round corner and overall may be playing the best out the whole secondary. micah eugene is the perfect lsu player though. I haven't seen him look out of place once this year.

There's a chance at least a good majority come back.. Didn't Reid say he was committed to his education. Montgomery has returned once already. Not too crazy to think that most if not all could return for next year.
