1988 Notre Dame beat the most dominant program of that era (Miami) during their national championship run. Does anybody really believe Notre Dame can beat the current top program Alabama this year? That Notre Dame team also had a lot more talent.

I would love the final spot come down to a 1L bama and a 1L ND. The meltdown when ND plays in Miami would be epic.

Shouldn't Top programs win the conference.

ND loses 2 games this year. They are extremely lucky. O yeah, then they lose in the bowl game.

I simply cannot wait for the next few weeks of Notre Dame football.

When we get to hear all the Irish apologist break their ankles jumping off the bandwagon.

I just cut copied and pasted not that difficult

Just showing a weird stat comparison from the 88 team

I don't think ND wins but when everyone thinks one way it doesn't always turn out that way

OU has been known to choke

I know you just said that to be clever, and I liked it, but they get taken by whoever has the first at-large pick, which will probably be the Sugar Bowl

If it's (hypothetically) Alabama vs. Oregon, the Sugar will take Florida, and the Rose will take USC/Oregon State/Stanford. The Fiesta is the first pick of the BCS at larges after that, and they'll probably take ND, unless Oklahoma wins the Big Twelve to avoid a rematch.

Orange Bowl is gonna get the shite end of the BCS stick this year. Florida State might sell 10,000 tickets and the Louisville/Rutgers winner won't sell any either. Crowd will look like the GT/Wake ACCCG from a few years back.

I know it's not the case, but it seems like every year the Orange Bowl gets the last pick. The matchup is always terrible. I really don't understand how that happens.
