Is the same way I feel about the Saints on defense. Makes for some close frustrating games

big difference; teams with shitty offense are better than teams with shitty defense. bad defense is a sure loss where bad offense means you still have a chance to win.

That's some sound logic there.

Defense can score and stop scores. Offense can only score.

LSU is ranked 3rd in total defense and 76th in total offense and are 7-1.

Saints are 4th in total offense and last in total defense and are 2-4.

2009 Saints Super Bowl Championship team, 1st in total offense, 20th in defense. What's your point? Anyone can pull stats that support their PoV. An opinion, however, is not fact. My original sarcastic comment was pointing that out since the poster stated it as such. Clearly there are many ways to skin a cat and the way championship teams get it done varies immensely.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have the d. I just have the same feeling, i think its nausea, when either is on the field.

That's how I feel about the offense, not your comment. We'll have to get arse kicked before Les changes anything.

I'm in love with our defense, but I just call our offense when I'm drunk.

You're not as faithful as others who love our defense. They'd never dream about seeing what else might be out there better than the beloved stout D. One in the hand is better than two in the bush right?

The Saints also don't have their head coach. I think that has a little bit to do with it.

So the 2009 Saint defense was much better than the 2012 Saint defense.

I am familiar with that kind of relationship.

Saints d was a turnover machine in 09. Guess what that does. Gives a hof qb more plays. Please.

The Saints defense was 2nd in the league in turnovers forced that year. That more than made up for the yards they gave up.

Clearly. I stand corrected. It's obvious that having a fantastic defense and shitty offense is way better than the opposite (sarcasm off). Why are people content with this is what I don't get. We should have more than above average play on both sides of the ball, at least if recruiting rankings are an adequate estimator of ability. And don't say injuries, wr drops, Mett's not mobile, blah blah blah. If this was a one year issue, then fine, but this has been going on for 4+ years and there's no indication of change or improvement. This clearly is a coaching issue and its solely an offensive issue, so please do something to address this and make it better bc it's disgusting to watch a team that has so much potential struggle so much.
