Mettenberger said the Aggies stacked the line of scrimmage to stop LSU’s running attack, something he hadn’t seen other opponents try yet this season. That created opportunities for long passes, but Mettenberger said the swirling wind at Kyle Field affected his touch.

“It was really tough to throw those deep balls accurately today,” he said. “Before this game, we really hadn’t taken many shots downfield. Next time, we have to capitalize on the deep balls.”

So I thought we here on TD always seem to say that teams stack the line? What gives?

Sounds like something JJ would have said.

I can actually believe this somewhat. The wind was much worse than it looked on TV.

A&M played a lot of the game with both safeties close to the line of scrimmage. The WR's on the outside were matched up 1 on 1 the majority of the game.

I was at the game and was kind of amazed how close both safeties were playing to the line.

This sounds nothing like something JJ would have said...The kid said we didnt connect there were tough conditions and we need to capitalize next time. Where is the problem in that?

Goddamn some of you people literally look for every opportunity to try and be critical of these players as possible.

By the time Mett figures it out, he will have graduated.....

...Didnt someone from Georgia say that this is about as good as Mett is going to get, so get use to this....

Where in that quote does mett say other teams haven't stacked the line? He said thus far we haven't taken many shots downfield. Or am I missing something?

I'm sure that would be an unbiased, well informed opinion since Mett left after his freshman year never having played a down at UGA.

Thats no reason for throwing for only 97 yds. Manziel was throwing in the same conditions against a much better defense and threw for over 200 yds. Yes he threw about twice as much but still, our passing game has many many flaws.

From playcalling to execution. I'm not sure why we look so bad in the passing game bcuz it seems that just about every other team has a better looking passing game than this team does.
