To use a bridge metaphor, November 3 will be the "rubber game" of the match.

Last November, we beat Bama in Tuscaloosa. Last January, Bama beat us in N.O.

On November 3, we will have all of the intangibles in our favor, but Bama will have the opportunity to win the "rubber game" of the match to lay to rest any lingering doubts about who would win the tie breaker.

Pride alone will not be enough to get our offense on track. The offense has to step up, and play to the best of their collective abilities for 4 quarters. It's a given that our defense will be stout.

One was for crystal. Two aren't.

That logic is kind of screwed up considering the roster changes from 11-12.

Both teams are different from last year. Not a rubber match

Also rubber game between Miles and Saban, in that it will break their 3-3 tie.

Winning a national championship trumps 2 regular season wins.

Different season, not a national championship game, damage to LSU and Miles' reputation has already been done, not a rubber game. This is a "we effed up in January and now we're pissed" game and if we don't play like it, then the power balance in the SEC West will have essentially shifted eastward.
