it's obvious he and the recievers aren't on the same page at game speed. only way to do that is to sling it around. also it keeps the receivers in the game.

he did throw some good ones. the td to boone was a thing of beauty as was the pass to beckham where we got the interference call. that was a shame. that could've given mett some confidence.

i was disappointed miles didn't let him try to throw for another td when we had 1st and goal. another td pass, i felt, would go a long way in establishing some confidence.

ONe great thing - no fumbles or interceptions by Mett.

He will get it together if he keeps making those attempts.

I could be wrong but wasn't the wind blowing pretty hard down on the field? Didn't keep up with play calling and if the deep passes were into or with the wind but that could of had an effect on some of the overthrows

That was a perfect throw. He also threw a perfect out on the right side to Beckham for a first down.

The successive overthrows down the left side were with the wind at his back. Could have been a factor.

There was also a perfect throw to Landry that Landry dropped

The freshman for the other team threw more accurate deep balls than Mett with the same wind condition. Good QB's account for the wind. There is a lot of room for improvement for Mett and that's putting it nicely.

he just needs a little more air under the deep balls. We have had 10-12 this year where wr's were wide open and he overthrew them because he threw it too much on a line. He will get more touch the more he throws.

The wind does have effect on passes just like in kicking. Experience is the only "cure" for those situations.

Those looked like catch-able balls from the computer angle. Just a little effort in attempting to making the catch goes a long way.

The wind was blowing like crazy yesterday. I believe the throwing gave met more confidence esp going into the bama game.

I don't remember him throwing deep at all. That's not their offense. Misdirection, short to medium passes, and scrambling for his life. That's aTm's offense.

One of the best throws was the TD when he actually put a little air under the ball to Boone. That was a highlight TD.

Made Sportscenter's #2. The #1 wasn't great (3OT pass for TD that wasn't extraordinary). Mett to Boon was the #1 IMO.

True

You could see the coaching staff was thinking ahead to Bama and getting him some confidence.

Glass half full, I think the wind caused a few of those passes to sail through.
