This stuff right here from San Antonio, TX!
I finally found a place in Oklahoma that sells it, and luckily it's the grocery store right around the corner from my house. I could've had some shipped to me but I always forget about doing that and I've cut back on the red meat quite a bit the last couple years.
I should've snapped a pic of the monster steak I grilled last night, but I was too busy salivating over stuffing my face.
The way I apply it is pretty bush league but I like the results, a prime porterhouse or T-bone I likely wouldn't do it this way or use the seasoning but on a cheaper less marbled cut of meat I stab it w/ a fork in about 6 or 7 spots, apply the seasoning like a pork rub, rub it in and sprinkle a little more on top, flip it over and do the same. Let it sit 30 minutes and put on the grill.
When I'm making steak burritos I'll cook it under the broiler in a cake pan, and that way I can collect the drippings and I pour them into my refried beans, which makes the beans marvelous.
A little tip from a former skinny guy that's now a fat guy.
I've serious quit ordering steaks at restaurants because I enjoy the flavor of this seasoning on a medium grade cut of beef better. If you don't have a place local that carries it, check the website out they've got a slew of top notch seasonings. The fajita and taco seasoning are boss too.

Why are you poking holes in steak? Do you like it dry? I can see jacquardizing a cheap cut like bottom round, but not anything I'd consider steak.

I'll have to pick some up. I see it all the time when I go shopping.

I don't use pre mixed seasoning on steaks but for other meats this is what I've been using.

They sell the Fiesta seasoning at albertsons. It's typically on a side stack display on a random aisle, and not on the seasoning aisle....but it's there.

Reasor's?
I don't use steak seasoning, but have in the past. You just can't beat kosher salt and cracked black pepper with a little EVOO.
I did use this in the past though.

My exact thought, why F'up a steak with holes poked in it, the juices will leak like flowing through a sieve.
ETA, why use any seasoning crap on a steak? After cooking S&P or steak butter is all it needs.

He should add it after a good 15 minutes of boiling though.

Working at the original POETS was a trip for a cook. Three managers and each one had a different view of how to cook with no experience on the line ar all. The big dog was a corporate out of Jackson Ms. He like his prime rib boiled, and that is no shite.

You just hope that the other parts of that poor cow were cooked properly.
