Big G love fan. Cool dude got to meet him in New Orleans once after show at HOB.

Not really anyone out there like him. Only ones I can think of you may like, might not be playing anymore but:
Red Eye Empire- Redeye
Matt the Electrician
ALO
Donovan Frankenwriter
JJ grey and Mofro
Ben Kweller
Pepper
The Expendables
The Bridge

Here is a little video of the G man

Here is some of The Bridge. Dudes were AWESOME!! They broke up recently but lead guitar/singer Chris Jacobs is still playing.

In addition to Current Swell, I recommend The Beautiful Girls too. Can't believe I forgot them.

My sister swears she has inside info that he is gay. Not that it matters.

Slightly Stoopid is probably the closest, but everyone has heard of them.

I guess John Butler Trio is pretty similar as well. Not a whole lot of similar bands though.

Could also throw Citizen Cope into the mix.

If he was I wouldn't think he was creepy. But him dating my 18 YO cousin when he is nearly 40 was.

Jon Spencer

A little dirtier, not as smooth.

I LOVE Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (and the new album rocks). I've heard them compared to G Love before, but I just don't hear it. JSBX has more in common with the Black Keys, though they are pretty different from them as well.

I don't play the blues! I PLAY ROCK N ROLL! WOOOOO!
