I've never cooked deer stew meat before. Anyone have a good recipe for it?

Dredge in flour and brown in bacon drippings set aside. Sautee some garlic, onions, bell Peppers, mushrooms. Add the stew meat back. Add some beef stock. Cook down couple hours.

For the last hour, add diced potatoes, carrots, a turnip and some kernal corn. Season with bay leaf, salt, pepper, garlic, etc. Pour a little milk in the last 3o minutes.

This is what I do. I brown it and add it to the stew mix. No different than how you would do beef.

EXCEPT trim all the silver membrane and tendons off of meat. Yes you lose a little on meat size but that stuff tastes nasty.
