just picked up a rogue pumpkin patch and some sam adams harvest pumpkin ales. has anyone tried the pumpkin patch? won't be trying tonight due to being on call.

This is the 2nd one of the 2012 vintage I've had. The first was pretty boozy; it seems to have mellowed a little, but it'll still keep you warm for sure(it's 12.5% after all).
Picking up the oak more than I recall last time around, lots of really nice fig and bourbon flavors mingled with dark chocolate, coffee and brown sugar. Extremely well-balanced.
Top notch beer, and right up there with Abyss. It may even best it. If I'm not full and drunk, I'm going to have an Abyss next and compare.
ETA: No way my arse is having an Abyss next.
