Yeah I'd say there's a good chance we get A&m day after thanksgiving in 2014 and beyond.

Probably so but at least not next year. It pisses me off that they will probably end up making us change to play on thanksgiving in the future.

I'd actually be fine with this. It's like a mini open date before the SECCG.

So are we gonna be playing on Black Friday or not?

Same story as every other year...depends on TV. the game is always scheduled for Saturday then moved if TV picks it up and moves it to Friday.

It is getting ridiculous. We lose South Carolina to pick up Georgia..they lose Missouri for Kentucky. Give us Kentucky...give them Georgia. Hell, they were supposed to play Georgia this year but that game got dropped in favor of Missouri.

Slive has no shame holding the SEC to this Tennessee-Alabama garbage. And if that's not bad enough he has the Gumps' other game vs Kentucky. Pathetic.

So during the part of the season when polls mean the most LSU will play Furman and have two bye weeks - rankings could be impacted those weeks

Is Florida still a permanent SEC East opponent? I thought that crap was going away when A&M and Mizzu came aboard....

Nah, this isn't more favoritism by the SEC offices for Alabama:

The current records of the 2013 SEC East opponents:

Arkansas 9-1
LSU 8-1
Miss State 4-5
Auburn 3-4
Ole Miss 1-7
Texas A&M 1-7
Alabama 0-7

Alabama does not play Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina this year or next year. This is a bad joke.

Hey Slive (and Alleva for being spineless). -

Alabama and UT have to have their annual lovefest on the 3rd Saturday of October every year.

We can thank Alabama/UT and UGA/AU for that. I don't think it's going anywhere.

Thats why when they did the expansion I thought the Gumps and Auburn going to the East and Mizzou TAM to the West made the most sense. You eliminated the "need" for non rotating opponents.

As an LSU fan, I'd love it. But then there wouldn't be a competive balance. Also, with those two moving East, you would have to move Vandy to the West.
