I really, really hate to say it, but Mingo and Montgomery are gone.

Sure would love to see them pull a Dorsey and stay but they're gone.

I think Rasco could be in the running to start.

Not sure if Minter would stay or not.

Reid.... Hmmm, I don't know. I heard he could stay to finish his degree, it's really important to him to get his degree so maybe he could be around next year but honestly I don't know.

TM keeps his nose clean, he could be back.

Freak will be back, Ego.

The biggest thing that will hurt is losing Mingo and Sonic.

dbs: mills, lostson, and possibly reid, not sure about simon

lb: minter, muncie/kwon, barrow

dl: johnson, ego, and rasco.

dependon on simon and reid, we could be very good in the back 7. front four will take a big hit though.

yeah I think both DEs are gone, probably Reid too. Bennie's 50/50 imo.

I think Minter comes back. only other potential early entrant is Simon, and I'd hope he stays.

we should be pretty nasty at LB, and a Rasco/ Hunter combo at DE could surprise ppl.

muncie/kwon

I think Muncie's an afterthought here. Tahj might be back, Kwon and Louis are already ahead of him. and the coaches might move Debo over to get a Minter/ Barrow/ Debo lineup.

like I said, nasty at LB.

Rasco, Hunter, and possibly Maclin, all have the ability. Plus a few true freshman will play next year. Having Ego and Johnson will make for a great DT combo, but they'll need at least two good backups behind them. Expect a lot of true freshman to get playing time. Which has been the pattern for the last few years, a good one

I was just trying to think who the other would be. I really don't know.

Totally agree. Our LBs are going to be really good. Kwon will be back, Debo will be there, Feist, Minter (please please please)

Also, not to hijack but we get DeSean Smith at TE next season too. :nb4wedon'tuseTEs:

Reid will be gone. He is on pace to graduate this year so that will not be a factor.

One can hope that he stays. I have no idea how far along he is in his curriculum but it would be great to see him stay.

Predicted starters next year:

Rasco Freak Logan Hunter
Alexander Minter Barrow
Simon Reid Loston Mills

If Logan goes in the draft then Ego take his spot. I don't think Simon has had a good enough year for him to leave early. I think Reid is dedicated to getting his degree that he will come back if he hasn't finished it early. Minter is a maybe. If he comes back he will probably be the best LB in the country next year. (right now he is behind Tao, J.Jones, Mosely at least). Unfortunately Sam and Mingo will be gone. If they aren't then minor miracle. If TM7 comes back he should go back to nickel where he can freelance a little more and ballhawk.

I think we have a good chance to return damn near everybody except M&M...Simon and Logan need one more year I think to improve draft stock. Minter has become a fan favorite...I hope he stays and soaks it up...if Logan leaves I think Minter Is the perfect candidate to wear 18 though...

Agreed.

Prayers to TM to keep his focus and do what he needs to do, for himself in the long run.

Would be great to see him back in purple and gold, and that's an understatement.

TS would erupt the second he steps on the field.

I talked to Sam at a party last year and he really really wants to get his degree and says its a priority for him and his family. If he doesnt get his degree this year I think he will stay

I'm going to be upset with you if you're spouting nonsense.

Gonna run down to Hebert's and tell everyone you lied.

Just messing with you. That's awesome news. Would be beyond great if Sonic stays.

Just repeating what he said. I dont think he likes football all that much. He likes the family and community associated with playing for LSU more than the actual game.

Its Hebert's they are the biggest liars ever. Everyone limits out on 30lb bull reds everyday there

If minter stays

Tahj Minter Barow
(all veterans and most knowledgable about our D)
And the frosh this year need some help from them to develop and get better. Some are obviously behind the learning curve a bit and need the older guys to lead by example and pass on the knowledge.

If minter goes.

Tahj/Kwon Welter Barrow

3's. Kwon Fiest Lamar/Muncie

Dont get your hopes up too much. I am not saying he is definitely staying. But there is a bigger chance of him staying than most people think
