TM7 Should Consider Legal Action Against SI?

It sounds and looks like the SI bribe has merit. Just SI being in town to uncover/create controversy to write a story lends credibility to the bribe allegations. The article is terribly biased, based on almost no substance and TM7 will suffer tremendously with the fallout. In my humble opinion, TM7 won't have to go pro to be a millionaire now. Although, he should still stop tweeting.

According to the video I saw from Fox 8 (I think that's what it is. The one in New Orleans), his parents have retained an attorney because of this.

He needs to just do the right thing and get good grades get his life in order and then when next season comes around show up all these frickfaces with another brilliant season and let that do the talking.

Perhaps let his parents deal with legal actions?

That's what I thought. The above post sounded like he'd taken to Twitter again, but I haven't seen anything.

Seems that way. From the video I saw, they were pissed at SI.

They declined an interview with SI and then SI says a bunch of crap painting TM in a negative light just to sell some magazines.

I mean, you're talking about the future of a young man's life where hundreds of thousands of people would out there would read (what they would expect to be truthful facts) and then look at TM like some punk or something.

All to just make a buck. Eh, who cares if it impacts someone else's life (or his family's for that matter) for the rest of his life, right? We got paid.

Screw SI. I don't blame his parents for getting an attorney.

There is a reason it is called slander and you can get sued over saying the wrong stuff, secondly he is a youth in public eye, good grades aside he needs to protect his reputation, and this could mean suing some slanderous bastards

What the frick does twitter have to do with ANYTHING? If he hasn't done anything wrong, it doesn't matter what he tweets.

Yes he should consider legal action against SI. However he should not do so while enrolled at LSU. He should wait until he leaves the university. That way the real damages can be assessed, and the suit will not create distractions for himself and his potential teammates if he does make it back on the team next year.

Jeff Duncan (or Scooter as he was known on saintsreport) has already lost quite a bit of respect of interweb Saints fans... see how this opinion of his goes w/ LSU fans

Admittedly, I don't know the details on this Tyrann Mathieu story, but I know @SIPeteThamel. And in @SIPeteThamel, I trust.
