Got this from an Aggie friend today. What Say You?

Interesting facts:
Here are the ranks of the offenses they have played so far this year (as someone posted on another thread)?
Total Offense:
USC 82
UF 82
Auburn 120
Idaho 111
Washington 110
North Texas 81
Towson 54 (in FCS)
Interesting tidbit on Towson. They have a mobile QB who rushed for over 100 yards (before sacks) in the Swamp. He only rushed for more yards against Maine. Edit: After one of his long runs, one of the posters on a LSU site wrote, "This is a nightmare. Manziel would take that to the house."
The best passing offense LSU has faced this year (aside from Idaho - who at 1-6 can be ignored) is South Carolina, who is 74th in the nation averaging 217 ypg. They managed 177 against LSU. For comparison sake, A&M averages 307 ypg passing and are 20th in the country
Sidebar: If Connor Shaw doesn't throw 1 of his 2 INTs, South Carolina wins that game. Johnny has to avoid turnovers in this game.
Finally, 4 of the 6 FBS teams they have faced are ranked 100+ in Scoring Offense. We are 5th. South Carolina was the highest ranked scoring offense they faced so far at 36th. They are averaging 34 ppg. We are averaging 47 ppg.
I'm not saying we will rack up a ton of offense. Their D is certainly talented. I'm simply making the point (for those the like conclusions) that the LSU D is untested against a great offense.

If Mett doesn't throw an almost pick 6, SC is out of the game early. We can play the stats game all day long. Point being, who cares. Maybe they sleep better at night knowing this stuff.
But reality is that Montgomery is going to stalk all day long and no one has had an answer for that yet.
Stats are stats. Let's play ball.

A&M has said this before. So have Oregon and WVU. They will move the ball and score some. But they will not win.

Another great point. What are those numbers if they don't play LSU?

I'd like to see what those ranks would be if you took out the LSU game, a bit curious how much of those rankings are due to playing us.

TidBit about A&M over the last 2 seasons A&M has blown leads like hookers blow their clients. Since we are talking about tidbits

What about the defenses A&M's great offense went up against?
La. Tech - 117th in scoring (39.7/game)
UF - 6th
SMU - 64th
Arky - 90th
Ole Miss - 67
South Carolina State - FCS

LSU wears our arse out in 2nd half and wins by > 13 pts. > 20 pts if we have more than 1 turnover.
Relax my Tiger breatheren..we're not there yet up front on Defense. We only have 3 DT's that play, and that is NOT a good recipe agst LSU's downhill running attack.

I'd rather you Aggie fans say nasty things about us. This "we're gonna lose cuz LSU is too good" nice shite you're spewing makes me want to vomit.
burbank, us true LSU fans are gonna pillage y'alls campus and rape your women.

The rankings for total defenses that A&M has played:
LA Tech 90th (won)
Ole Miss 42nd (won)
Arkansas 53rd (won)
South Carolina State ? (won)
SMU 76th (won)
Florida 13 (lost)
Aggies have played one defense ranked higher than 42nd? And they are bragging about a "high powered" offense? C'mon man!

quote:If you guys are really curious, I have a script that compares Team A's offensive production versus Team B against all of Team B's other opponents. To be more clear, take LSU's pitiful 200 yards of offense vs. Florida, and compare that to what Florida's other oppoents did against them. BG - 327, A&M - 334, Tenn - 340, UK - 219, and Vandy - 363, which averages out to 317 yards. Divide LSU's 200 by 317, and you get 0.63 as LSU's offensive score vs. Florida. Do this whole process for each of LSU's opponents, and then average the scores and you might end up with something around 0.80. Now do this whole process for every team and rank them that way. I believe this will give a better idea of offensive (and it works in reverse for defense) firepower than the typical average yards per game regardless of opponent method.
What about the defenses A&M's great offense went up against?
The script in current form is used specifically for predicting scores, but given a few days I could probably massage it to rank teams this way if anyone is interested.

Interesting (well, not really) stat would be what do the opposing offenses look like if you take the LSU game out of their numbers.

Did he bother to outline their offensive performances against "great" defenses?
Because they faced one, at home, and it wasn't good.
