alabama's toughest game to that point will be their home game against moo state, who themselves have done nothing impressive whatsoever this season, other than beat some crappy teams.

This team will have faced and survived plenty of adversity by then, bama wont even have come close to facing a true top 15 team anywhere, much less a top five team at probably the most hostile environment of any game in CFB this season.

and ppl before the season said our schedule was a joke. bama's only tough games are against us, the faggies, and moo state. gotta be one of the easiest schedules an sec team has had in the past ten years

Tiger Stadium, and a froth of sheer fury.

That may have a small effect, but I wouldnt fool myself into believing that. Bama will give us all we want if not more. We'll have to play our best football by far to beat them.

Say what you want. The BIGGEST advantadge for BAMA is the fact we are OFF the week before. I hate BYE weeks.

i'm not saying we wont have to play as well, just that all the new starters they have this season will have never been tested in a situation like this, with regards to keeping their composure, penalties, etc

We beat them after a bye week last year.

I think having an additional week to prepare for Alabama is actually an advantage to LSU. Let's be honest, it's not as if we are a rhythm passing team that has found some tremendous groove.

We had a much tougher schedule than UA last year. It didn't help us much in the end, did it?

At this point in the season, a bye is worth at least three points. Rest up, go home and see mama, come back ready to play.

But we have to beat the Aggies first for any of it to matter.

I was going to say Tiger Stadium and pockets full Bourbon coupled with 92 thousand blood/Bourbon thirsty fans.

But I like you version too. I'm worried about most season ticket holders selling the tickets to the "new fans" so that they can pay for next season and have a profit. Stupid and un ethical I know but that's what I'm hearing from a lot of people. I hope it's just talk however.

But they had a bye week too. Makes a BIG difference. Face it Bye weeks kill mojo more than anything else. Bama will be able to stay on routine the week before LSU.

NO. But you have gotten some mojo back after beating SC and hopefully A & M. The week off WILL hurt.

We didn't have a bye week in 2005 and ran out of gas in the back half of the season. Everybody needs a break. I guarantee the coaches and players are looking forward to the bye.

Under Miles:

5-2 after bye weeks (including the hurricane Monday Tenn. game in 05)

3-0 versus Bama with Nick Saban

I remember this and some rest is good. I am saying that the LSU-Bama game last years sucked because BOTH teams had a bye and got out of the routine they were in. It would have been a much better game had niether had a bye. IMO. Bama has already has had thier bye. They are back to a week to week routine. This means a SHITLOAD. I just dont want LSU to get hyped to early for the Bama game.

Any key players slated to return from injury after this bye?

Even if they don't, the rest should be a huge plus IMO

I think we beat Bama by two touchdowns this year. It won't be as close as most think.
