Haven't saw this kid get burned once this season after being meh in the spring game.

He's probably our best pure cover guy IMO. I think he should play over mills

You do know Tharold Simon plays CB right?

Tharold is our best cover. I'm glad we have mills, Collins and Martin. They will look good with honey badger next year

Hard to say since nobody really tries to challenge Simon

Simon might be our best cover corner, but he is soft. He needs to man up with his tackling.

You have watched Simon's play this year, right?

They're all good. Jalen Mills has stood out most of the year. Last night then went underneath him a lot and Collins made a lot of plays.

Gonna be quite a duo in a few years

Calm down...he's good but not that good.

Simon and Mills start over him for a reason.

Just about to start this thread, his cover positioning is amazing. He should be starting opposite Simon imo

Mills has a tendency to not know when the ball is thrown his way, needs to look at QB quicker imo

So auburn didn't challenge Simon?

I'm not referring to just coverage, I'm talking about as an all around cb.

Collins isn't afraid of contact and is a significantly better tackler than Simon. Glad to have both, though

Maybe you should stay away from the keyboard.

Did it ever occur to you Simon is in on EVERY down? Collins is lucky to play a quarter of the snaps.

Less snaps=less opportunities to test him

I think Chavis knows more than you on who to start in his secondary. Not like anyone is raking yards up against our secondary. Just saying.

I simply asked a question, opinions vary. Why are you so angry because I think Collins is the best cb?

Hatcher and Francois played over minter and barrow last year so what's your point?

bullshite. You were asserting it as fact.

Here is a thought for you - maybe *gasp* Minter/Barrow weren't the same players last year as this year? Did that ever occur to you? Minter definitely wasn't half as good last year.

Downs playing over Freak means nothing because LSU rotates lineman so much.

Yea, thread title ending with a question mark is definitely asserting it as a fact.

I didn't suggest he start over Simon, but he could start over mills IMO.

Again, jmo

I think he should start over Mills because he is better simply put. But it looks like they prefer to have him in that nickel back situation and I can't complain because it is working! And to those out there talkin about Simon, he is a good corner, but no where near Claiborne and Peterson's type of skills.

NFL scouts will love him and he will be drafted high because of his rare size for a corner, but his cover skills leave something to be desired, and he definitely needs to work on his tacklin, but then again, Caliborne needed to work on his tacklin and still does and he is succeeding in the NFL.

Simon's advantage as a cover man comes in his freakishly long arms. It's really hard to get a ball over his head because he can just jump up and hit it away with his 9 foot long arms
