Let's see if Scotlandville can capitalize on the big win last week against Denham. Would love to see them beat Zachary

Let me tell you something...

As someone who played at DSHS, it is UNDERSTOOD that you DO NOT lose to Walker or Live Oak.

Live Oak has never ever ever beaten us.

i'm waiting for the enrollment numbers to come out... sad that the most exciting part of our season is finding out what district we'll be in for the next two.

one of our boosters suggested next year's Catholic League, but the admins at Chalmette might go with the Jefferson Parish district. I suggested the Northshore district as a compromise. we'll see over the next month.

don't think anyone else here gets the St. Bernard News, but they had a great article by a coach blowing our horn for our freshmen and sophomores, some of whom have made impacts already this season

don't know if it will be enough to beat Brother Martin, but it is possible. they're not very good either. we just have a force field keeping us off the scoreboard at Tad Gormley... whether it's a blocked field goal, a miss, or we fumble at the 1, we've been shut out three straight games at the Tad Pad.

I can't wait for those as well, I'm sure Hahnville and Destrehan will be moved again.

Hahnville vs ESJ should be interesting Friday, both have underachieved so far but this game is usually pretty good.

Was a weird game. Easily could've been 28-0 WM at the half. WM had a fumble at the 1 that seemed like it came 30 seconds after we thought the runner's forward progress was stopped. Then there was a big pass play called back that had WM inside the 20 as well. On the other side, Ouachita had a long TD called back for holding that would've made the score 21-14 in the 2nd half and Ouachita would've had all the momentum. After that TD was called back, it looked like Ouachita was done.

EA gets DTown at home tonight. Thinking about going. The winner will play Catholic later in the year for the title, almost guaranteed. The loser wil have to hope for a St. Amant upset. I'm actually leaning EA in this one.

JJ, I watched the game on TV last night. He did fumble, when he hit the line he was on top of the pile and not downed; the runner then tried to reach out with the ball and it flew out of his hand. They showed the replay several times from different angles, the only thing that would have prevented it from being ruled a fumble the way it happened would have been if the refs would have ruled forward progress was stopped and blew the whistle. The Rebels could have won by a larger margin if they wanted to run it up. I think they are better than Rummel; hopefully we can see that matchup at some time in the playoffs.
