Saw them recommended on the OT and Music board multiple times and got bored one day at work and bought the album off Amazon. Love it.

Have you ever heard of a girl named Janis Joplin?
I wouldn't at all say that they have an original sound but they do write good songs and are fun to listen to.

Original was the wrong word. But unique in this day and age definitely.

They're dangerously close to being a complete Jack White ripoff. Kind of like Cage The Elephant.

Ok the shakes don't sound anything like jack white, other than both have blues influences.
And cage the elephant doesn't sound like jack white either.
Go listen to the arctic monkeys and then listen to cage the elephant.. THAT is who they ripped off

That four wheeler seems to be a two wheeler with a four cylinder engine driving it.
No traction. They've fallen off the edge of the earth.

Very good. I like her voice a ton. It isn't that they are original, but original for this day and age.
They belong in the 60's/70's.

What the frick? I need to remember to never take your opinion seriously.
Their influence is straight from the Stax Sound, if you are into comparing.
