Back in the day while hunting the Delta NWR I volunteered to walk back through the shiite to bring the boat to a cut that was closer to where we were hunting. On the slog back I needed one bird to finish my limit – that took about 2 minutes. Over the next cpl hundred yards I shot a bunch more times. When my padnahs met me at the boat they asked why I shot so much for 1 duck – I said I got the duck w one shot but the 2 coons and nutria the dog and I met on the way back took the rest ;) The coons and nutria would not back down and I did not want a hefty vet bill …….. Plus I had a knucklehead of a lab. I think the statute of limitations has expired on the coons and the nutria
