Former Panthers second-round pick DE Everette Brown worked out for the Saints this week along with DE Jay Richardson.

Will Smith's suspension giving others a chance at facetime. I am excited to see what M. Wilson can do with more snaps.

Brown never had the size or ability to shed blockers in Carolina. 6 sacks in two season was not good enough for them so they waived him. I could see adding him for depth.

this

In limited snaps Galette is on track for 10 sacks. Wilson needs to be unleashed to see what he has. If he can flash some, then if Will Smith moves on next year, we might not be drafting a DE. Wilson 23, Jordan 23, & Galette 24 is a good young nucleus.

I know people are down on Will Smith, but there is no question losing him for 4 games hurts the team

If they are going to use Wilson, they should let him stand up rush like Clay Matthews...make him the fifth guy on the line and have two LB's play run/pass.

I was impressed with Wilson's play the other night picking up the RB and foiling a screen play.

No doubt Smith is a player with the skills better than a guy they get off the street, but I think the extra snaps for some other fresh legs might be good for this defense, like in the 4th quarter of the SD game.

I agree with a caller on 690 Monday. I want Smith and Vilma gone. Let everybody move on without these two distractions and let new faces get an opportunity.

This was all started with the Vilma allegiance vs Loftin allegiance rumors swirling around
