Would you choose a more wide open offense if it meant 1 more loss per year?

Let's say you were given the power to choose a scenario where over the next few years the Tigers would display a more high octane offense - long break away runs, great looking long pass completions, just a more asthetically pleasing O alltogether.

But, through some chain of cause and effect, this would come at the price of a single additional loss per year.

What would you choose?

Do you mean all other things being equal, the offense would result in an extra loss per year? As in if they stayed with the current offense they go 12-0 but with the more wide open offense they go 11-1?

If so, I don't think anyone is claiming that. I at least just want an efficient offense that gives LSU the best chance at victory, an offense that will evolve if necessary to give the team its best opportunity for success. The product right now cannot be that.

Chances are that 1 more loss per year would be to someone who was clearly better on that day, so I guess I'd be okay with it.

Better than being pissed and frustrated wondering "what if" all the damn time.

I would not, I would rather us win games with a Georgia tech style offense if the end result was an undefeated season.

The reason I say that is because now I feel you have to go undefeated to be a nc contender.

Despite what everyone sAys, this is a legit question... Consider the amount of fans that are just there for entertainment.

Although I want the W

If we win every game IDGAF what the offense does. They could take a knee every play and if we win 2-0 I'll be happy

why even recruit on offense if we have to take one loss automatically.

This isn't magic land. We can't have that happen if we suck on offense every game.

Then it would be impossible to make a trade for better offense and 1 loss... All hypotheticals like this are magic land

absofrickinglutely not...you are basically talking about the difference between bieng a good team and an elite team...1 automatic loss basically knocks you out of the national championship picture forever...

I don't care how whiny or pissy people get on this board, I want to win every damn game that we can possibly win by doing whatever it takes to do so....

I want better offense and more wins.

It's certainly do-able.

You mean an offense something similar to West Virginia or some other "pass first" team?

If that's what you're suggesting, no thanks.

I think all fans would rather ugly wins than high scoring losses. But I just can't conceive a reason why a better offense would result in a worse team. A lot of posters here seem to think if the offense is good then the defense will suck, and I still can't figure out why this attitude is so prevalent here.
