Get it...
I have the TLR-1s which is the same thing minus the laser and it's bright as hell.

Yeah, I have 2 of the TLR-1's without the laser as well and I like them.
I don't have any experience with the first one in my post but it just looks like the same thing with a polymer frame. I've been pleased with all the streamlight products I've used. I know there are some here who aren't crazy abou them.

The TLR-4 is mainly for subcompacts with short rails. For example, if I wanted a light for my Ruger SR9c, I would get one so it could fit since the TLR-1 size is too big. I think the light output is lower though.

Me too. Thank you for not being a SureFire snob.

Glock Tactical Light with Laser retails for $250, I'll have to go back to Barney's and see how far the streamlights stick out on the gun.

Surefire makes a nice product. I'm not knocking them but I'm not sure they are worth the price for a marginally better product if that.
Also I've found that the replacement parts, bulbs, etc. are way cheaper with streamlight than for Surefire.

You really need to do a side by side comparison of that light with a Streamlight like I posted. The streamlight blows it out of the water. It's almost twice as bright and used a LED bulb. The Glock light uses an old school Xenon bulb.
And that price is ridiculously high. A simple google search for that Glock tac light and you'll find them all over for less than $100.00.
Sorry but it's a no contest between those two anyway.

Amen.
It has the brand name on it, hence, the inflated price tag.
Have you seen how expensive something is when it says "HK" even if it still sucks? Same applies here.
