Do you guys think the hornets can win over 25 games? There's a prop bet, and I think that would be a good investment.

I think they WILL win over 25 games.

Aminu looked good. He made good decisions with ball in his hand, he shut MKG down

I would hope he could play good defense against a rookie

Just some points from the game I gathered.

Defense was insane, was glad the team got out and ran with it after missed shot or turnover. First game we slowed it down too much, pace a lot faster this game.

Vasquez was more under control as well, got team involved in offensive sets (11 assists)

Was glad to see Anderson come off of his poor shooting on Sunday to go 5 of 6 from the 3 point line. I think this will be huge for us in long run, spreading court out with a valid 3 point shooter.

Lopez played out his mind 18 pts, 13 rbs, 3 blocks. If we can get just SOME of this per game, we'll be hard to score on in the middle + give some offensive breaks to other players on other end of court.

Austin needs to find a consistent outside shot (not overly worried about that), but was impressed with getting to the rim, finishing, and moving the ball around (not forcing a bad shot)

Definite improvement with Aminu, not AS spastic. I think we'll see a lot of growth from him as season goes on also.

Davis, kid was beast! Finished strong around rim, got involved with pick and roll more and just seemed to be in right place at right time for dump off passes around the rim. Not sure if we can expect 20+ point performances every game, but I enjoyed the frick out of it last night.

Downfalls:

Not sure I really like the pick and pop/roll with Lopez as much as we do it, nor do I like sitting Davis in a corner while a play is being run. Noticed that a lot on Sunday, not as much last night. Could be contributed to him not knowing offense or for whatever reason Monty has.

Defense HAS to get back on D in transition. Orlando killed us on it when they ran on Sunday and saw some of the same with Bobcats last night. Not sure what to attribute it to though, tired legs, lazy lapses, or plain slowness.

Overall, VERY satisfied with this team last night after their showing on Sunday. Of course it's preason and of course it's the Bobcats, but I'll take it I think the score would have been a lot worse had they (Bobcats) not shot lights out from 3 in first half

I heard/saw, I think it has to do with only having one sponsor instead of two buying tickets. Not sure what the Hornets' plan is for that.

I thought the same thing, they shot 8-25 from 3-point last night. Seemed so much worse!

There was a lot of talk about how Monty is slowly adding offensive sets. I didn't see the game, but I think they are going to be seemingly overusing most sets right now until they practice new sets. This team is learning on the fly, so using that play numerous times will be good practice for the regular season. You don't get the same intensity in practice and the defense will almost certainly defend it differently than your teammates.

Totally understandable, I'd much rather Davis on pick and roll than Lopez though

ya, top 3 picks in their rookie seasons are always easy to guard.

signed Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and Derrick Rose

...The Bobcats also had a really easy time against that big rookie on the Hornets. forgot his name.

Yea, they only let him score 22 points. Shut that fool down.

Seriously, AFA bandwagon has left the station, you can run to jump on if you want. Drake is driving and I'm riding shotgun.
