Does anyone know which WR caught the first TD in the first game of the 48 game stretch. Yes, I am too lazy to use google.

Instead of starting another thread...

What game was the one where he didn't throw a TD and how many games had he gone up until that point with a TD pass in every game?

TIA

TIA

It looks like he went back to back games w/o throwing a TD before the streak started.

Buffalo was the first game (won 27-7) and the second game was against the Jets (won 24-10). Although I dont know how we scored that much without him throwing at touchdown.
LINK

ETA: Apparently we had 2 defensive TDs and one rushing TD with Pierre against the Jets. I almost forgot what it was like for our defense to make plays

And we had 3 rushing TDs against buffalo

IIRC in the Buffalo game our running game was really clicking. Brees may of even thrown for under 200 in that game.

In the Jets game, we only had one offensive TD, with 2 defensive TD's.

Sorry I forgot to answer this. He had an 11 game streak before.

What a deference 3 years makes. And an All-Pro safety.
I also went back to look at the stats for the Buffalo game. We ran for 222 yards and passed for 156. Wonder if we have rushed for than we passed for in a game since then.

My brother and I were given 2 free tickets from a cop in front of the dome that day.

I remember we sacked and stripped Sanchez for one touchdown right at the goalline and I believe Sharper ran the other one back on an interception.

yep, Ayodele and Sharper both scored.

I remember being pissed off at Dirty Sanchez for cheap shotting Vilma on Sharper's TD

I remember in the buffalo game their only TD was a fake field goal.

Thanks Hazel. I remember that Buffalo game now that u bring it up. We played at their place and the D kept getting stops when we couldn't move the ball besides for our ground and pound that game.

Me too. Those guys gave up tons of yards but they ALWAYS stepped up and made huge plays at key times during the games.

Yeah I think that was the game where the announcers said a million times "Sean Payton issued a challenge to these running backs" and we ran well all game.
