Rightly so. He used to be a pretty good poster until he started this little sugar plum. It was a strawman disguised as a loaded question, posing as a introspective POV, but ended up just being a turd.

disappeared? this thing has grown like a weed, son!

And, make no mistake, my point is strong. The guys here who are frustrated with it are the targets themselves.

If you think its a turd, then you likely think you know more about Les' team than he does.

ETA: the funny thing is, the vast majority of the know-nothings dragging Les through the mud are the very people the players could give 2 shits about. Of course, they don't matter either....amirite?

I don't know 1/20th of what Curley Hallman knows, r Ron Zook, or Bill Callahan.

Okay, wait just a damned minute - I will stipulate that I certainly could not coach with 1/20th the ability of a Ron Zook or Bill Callahan. I normally wouldn't speak for you tigerfoot, but I would stipulate you're at least as good a coach as Curley Hallman, without even meeting you or reviewing your credentials. I know I am as good or better.

And that's not a positive thing about either of us, just FYI.

For the most part, the answers seem honest.
Some of these jokers just have to needle you.
The quesstion is fair. I do not have such knowledge and never will.

I can barely teach my kids to chop block.

Of course theynare 1 and 3, but we have helll with technique.

My premise stands, very few fans know even a fraction of what TERRIBLE coaches know, so this little exercise is silly.

As a wise man once said, you don't have to be a veterinarian to know a horses arse when you smell it.

And offensively we are warm, greasy arse. Be it execution, scheme, personnel or injuries. And it is Les's job to fix.

I do not. However, I am engineer & I would wager to say that my intelligence level would be equal to the majority of the coaches & players. Or, maybe this game is much more complicated than I thought. However, I do not believe this is the case because many of the players struggle to get a college degree & most are not in engineering. And, if they can figure out who & how to block, I could probably come up with a pretty good idea how to accomplish this given the talent to do so.

Look, this is NOT rocket science. I may not have coached football like Les, but let's look at the results of LSU's offense. You do not need to be a brain surgeon to realize we are struggling moving the ball. So, you can either execute your existing game plan better or change the game plan. Either way, you need to have your players prepared. I would say that the biggest problem is the latter. Les needs to get the guys ready & show some confidence in them!!!

Since far more teams/coaches/players fail than succeed at a high rate, you are probably right.

Tell me, have you been one of the very most successful engineers in the nation in the last 7&1/2 yrs?

Yep, he's well paid to overcome whatever problems we may be facing.

Offense, D, and STs all come back to the head guy.

Let's hope Miles can continue getting his team to figure out a way to win.

Agreed. When something doesn't work, then why not try something else? Right now the offense is extremely predictable (hell I'm guessing half the plays) and it simply is not producing positive results. I'd rather see Mett in shotgun throwing the ball 10+ yards 3 times in a row, then what they are doing today. Yes, they may sack him, the receivers may drop it or the passes may go incomplete or intercepted, but compared to the the last 3 SEC games LSU has played in, the results couldn't be much worse. Hell, try something different.

No, but I do have a want for him to be more open minded in regards to our offense and reading books

I am not sure where your high rate of failure for teams/coaches/players comes from. If the rate were that high wouldn't more coaches be getting fired than keep their jobs each year?

Yes, Les is on a nat'l stage & makes more money than I will ever make, but that does not mean that the guy has super intelligence.

He was blessed to have played college football & had contacts to start coaching in college. It does not make him a brain child.

Bottom line, does LSU have the talent to be more successful than we have been on offense. According to you, we don't, because Les is one of the most successful coaches in the last 7-1/2 years. If you are happy with a nat'l champ off the back of Saban & a 5 loss season thrown in there, don't let me get in the way of you singing Les' praises.

No, I actually think that we would do better if Les kept his nose out of any play calling & focused on the overall health of the team. It looks like the o-line is falling apart.

I about feel the same. Mett looks like he could sling the ball around, but the wr's do not have enough attempts to be consistent in catching the ball. And the o-line is underachieving, I guess, or maybe they were overrated.

Of course I know more about football than Les Miles.

Does Les know who the leading career rusher in the PAC-10 is?? I do.

Can Les tell me who the head football coach was at Baylor in 1977? I know that one.

I know a hell of a lot more about football than Les ever will.

Of course not, but that does not mean he's above questioning.

Now much of that questioning will be frivilous and uninformed. But, any coach that takes a job in the SEC should know what they are getting into. That's the reality.
