i fricking love this MyPlayer shite on NBA2K13, such a rollercoaster ride of emotion...


6'6" SF for the Memphis Grizzlies. GOOSE.


started off the night playing some decent games. averaging 18 minutes. 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block. had a breakout game off the bench against Brooklynn. 12 points, 8 assists, 3 blocks, 6 rebounds.

...nah points aren't that high, but i'm an athletic defensive high flying Small Forward. I'm not trying to drop Kobe #'s out there.


anyhow, they throw me into the starting line up. Not as the starting SF, but at the starting SG. weird.

1st start. I go HAM in a loss against the 76ers. 21 points. 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks. Got a solid B Teammate Grade. My highest yet.

next two games. @ Lakers then @ OKC. fricking crushed. finished both games with a D+. We got killed by LA and we blew out OKC by 25. I played like shite in both. Absolutely torched by Kobe Bryant and James Harden.


...i have no idea how they expect a rookie with 1 start to guard Kobe and James Harden. Every defensive set my Teammate Grade is getting dropped and I'm eating up stamina just to stay with these guys.




I did have 2 plays last night where I literally dropped the controller and walked away screaming I was so pumped up.

#1) End of 1st Quarter. Drained buzzer beater from opposite free throw line. 3/4 court shot, draino. Shot Clock CHEEEESE.

2#) @76ers. My first start. Literally a minute into the game. Blew past Jason Richardson on a pick and roll. Drove into the paint. Spin move around Bynum. Two Hand Power Jam over the top of him. 78 on the Sprite Dunk Cam. was fricking sick.

...after the replay they did a camera cut scene to 76ers Coach Doug Collins. Dude has this disgusted look on his face and was shaking his head.

I've had plays like this also, not only in My Player, and it's the first game that has ever made me do that (I take that back, an RPG headshot in MW3 brought me serious joy). I'll go back and watch the replay a few times also in amazement at how smooth everything looked

Someone teach me how to run plays, call plays etc. All I know is the pick and roll, but since I don't have an outside jumper they don't respect the pick.

I think I read the Playvision works in My Player now, so if you have auto plays on, they will call the plays themselves. If it doesn't work, I think you are just left with the pick and roll until they fix it

Why is the transition D so bad for my team in My Player?

i don't mind get pulled when i'm playing great soo much, because usually stamina wise i need a break, what pisses me off is when my coach plays roulette wheel with my position and defensive assignments.

Sure sure a 6'6" 210lb SF guarding Blake Griffin or DeMarcus Cousins. Ohh, yeah, throw him on Kobe, great idea. Even better, let's let him guard DeRon Williams on iso plays.

Did that 2k update change something in the gameplay or is my luck really bad enough to miss 6 dunks in one game with 99 dunk rating?

Unfrickingbelievable! It lets me play all the way until there's 58 seconds left in the 4th quarter and I've brought is back to 2 down. I've got 38 points and 8 assists and it takes me out FOR THE ENTIRE QUARTER PLUS OVERTIME! Obviously the game went into overtime and IT DIDNT EVEN PUT ME BACK IN until we were 9 down with 4 fricking seconds left in the game. This has GOT to be a bug. fricking ridiculous!


ETA: Chalmers scored a whopping 9 points. frick this shite.

So I've been playing My Career for a couple weeks. My guy is a 94 overall, best SG in the league, 4th overall player in the league. But no matter what, my players role is stuck on "starter" instead of "star." Any of you guys have this same problem?

I've got the same issue. I'm in my 4th season and I have the same rating as Anthony Davis but he and Eric Gordon have star ratings and I am a starter. I'm not that bothered by it though. The thing that really bugs me is even though I have playcalling on and play-art on it doesn't call plays. I thought the new patch was supposed to fix that?

I was having fun with a Pete Maravich career as the starting PG for the Hornets. Made 2nd team all pro plus Rookie of the Year (even though the legend you pull over is from his 2nd year in the league).

Won a 7 game series to start the playoffs, then got crushed 4-0 by the Thunder. Was looking forward to year 2...and didn't get offered a contract by the Hornets.

Signed with the Grizzlies but it's not as fun. I loved running point with AD down low. I was looking forward to what the computer would do with the team. Oh well.
