I recommended Rudy Gay who was a 4 star asset and we traded away a backup center who was a four star asset. Every other trade I've seen is small potatoes.

So, you just meet with the GM and ask to trade away a new player?

Around all star week there is a scripted GM sit down where he asks who you want (if anyone) to trade for. But I think you do that right off the bat if you want.

Do you have to purchase the DLC beforehand for the All-Star week to work? I just passed that point I think and it just simmed through it.

Edit: I looked it up and it seems that it was preorder DLC. Very lame to charge $5 for somethign that should be in the game in the first place. Especially when it's tied to milestones (I think?).

49 Points 4 Assists 3 Rebounds 2 Blocks
Still almost lost to the Bulls in Game 7 of the ECF
On the Wizzards so Wall is the only other player I can rely on

I love the Hornets squad I'm with now. Gay, EG, and I all average around 18 points while AD gets 15 and Anderson get 12. They can all take care of the ball so we're a low turnover team.

I'm the PG. Rivers was averaging around 17 ppg before I showed up and now his overall is down by 16 cause he gets no minutes

How do you make your team make trades?
When you get to be a vital member of the team, one random day about halfway to the all-star break the GM will pull you in and ask you to pick five guys you want on the team, then warns you he might have to trade some assets on the team to get those players. You can also do it if your team is on a losing streak. Go to the GM's office and select the "I'm tired of losing." option. If you're important enough to the team, they'll let you pick 5 guys then, too.

For the All-Star game itself, no. For everything else (3 point shootout, dunk contest, etc.) yes.

How the hell do you play with that guy? Every time I pass it to him he gives up and open shot to drive into 3 people and throw up some dumbass layup that never goes in. I'm trying to get him traded for Melo.

I played with Melo for a year before he signed elsewhere and they are both the same to me. Hand either one the ball and they drive the lane like a maniac, he's also pretty good coming off the pick and roll.

Seriously? When I had Melo on Dallas he made damn near every shot he took. Always went straight up with the ball if he was open, and if he wasn't, he'd create space and drain a jumper. By far my favorite AI other than Vince Carter.

Thanks for the input here. I never got that invite but I didn't really started playing a ton until late December.

Yep, both Melo and Gay had games where they couldn't hit a shot but when they are on they probably take 15-20 shots and make most of them. I wish more AI tendencies were aggressive and took jumpers like they do.

I like to play inside out. So I love AI's that do nothing but spot up and shoot the ball. Players like Vince Carter are my best friends. Mayo will shoot when he's open, but sometimes he gets a little crazy. I never had any issues with Melo. I don't think I ever saw him have a bad game. But then again our team spread the hell out of the floor. We had 3 point shooters all over the place. Me, Carter, Mayo, Dirk, Melo, and Collison. The defense was always super stretched, and if someone got doubled, there was a 3 point shooter standing wide open somewhere. fricking love that offense.

It pisses me off that Ryan Anderson spots up in the corner and when I get the ball to him he hesitates and gives it right back to me. We should compile a list of jump shooters we like for future reference

This sounds like Hedo Turkoglu like 90% of the time. He's occasionally take the 3 though. He's a big fan of ball hogging and driving to the basket.

It seems to be a pretty popular AI. The problem with that AI is that it never knows when to pass out of a drive. Once it drives, it doesn't matter how good the defense is, it's going to shoot.
