I know it's been run into the ground, It just took me a few days to want to talk LSU football again but,

3rd and Goal, call a time-out, line up call another time out. I'm sure Florida has to be thinking they're trying to put something together. Then come out in a run formation, not with Hilliard at Tailback, no not Ware, we're gonna ram up your arse with.....McGee, yes the 180 lb. guy who we just converted to a WR, who was a QB in highschool. WOW, maybe no one will notice we did the ol' switcharoo. I got to believe everyone wearing a Florida uniform had to know something was up. This coaching staff has to be better than this. If you're gonna do it, at least let Ware throw it.

I'm pretty sure Miles didn't call that play. Some suggest the second TO was due to headset problems. IDK

So Les is fricked.. if he let's the offensive coaches call the play he's blamed for approving a dumb call...if he overrules, he is accused of interfering with the coaches plan and making bad calls.

I can't provide a link but I heard that Les was not happy with the calls on that possession and felt from the 7 we should have just tried to run it in. I agree...give it 3 shots...gained 3 on first down... I would have run Ford to the outside on 2nd and who knows maybe we get a TD or a couple shots from the 1?

The 2nd down call with Mett rolling out sucked as bad, maybe worse than the "trick" play... Which was a bad idea from the start...not after a TO, especially 2.

I do agree IF we were going to run the halfback pass...use Ware as it is far less obvious that something is up.

I don't care if Miles called play, or Krag called the play, or Studrawa called the play....whomever called that play is a God damn moron.

Mett explained that the 2nd TO was called because the play that got signaled in from the sideline was actually not a play that was printed on his wristband. In other words, the play wasn't even in the damned gameplan.

Now, let's leave aside the absolute clusterfack on the sideline that this obviously exposes in that we have a playcaller (be it HC, OC, etc) who doesn't even know WTF plays are in our actual gampelan. Let's focus on something else.

You just called TO. You've had your offense, your Head Coach, & your entire offensive staff to huddle up on the sidelines during this time.

WTF are you signaling in the play from the sideline AFTER the TO? Why not give them the play on the sideline?

WTF does something so dumb?

Not for me, I would have said holy shite what the hell kinda of call was that. I don't know whats the worse the call or the fact it actually worked. I'd be glad it worked, but we sure as hell don't need the staff feeling confident they could pull dumb shite like that off week to week.

Ford was quoted saying that Magee was not going to throw the ball, it was a fake jump pass play and he was supposed to run it

Play went according to plan

Miles made a statement at his press conference on the SC game coming up that indicated he didn't make the calls from the 7.He said,"we went to the pass twice in that series that if I could recall it, I would have done different."

The reason it didn't work is cause it was a brain dead call.

Regardless it was a terrible call. I mean they couldn't come up with something better with a touchdown would have broke their spirit.

Unfortunately, I honestly feel like the staff, including Miles, knows as much about who is making the calls as we, the fans, do.

I'm not really referring to run vs. pass, or even a particular type of the above, but just the chain of command and level of coordination. We're not talking about an isolated incident here!

This is a recurring event, that has affected the outcome of games, and has not put the players in the best position to succeed.

Anyone refusing to acknowledge this is in denial.

Thats part of the job. The head coach will always get blamed for a bad gametime decision.
