Call me sexist(I haven't seen the show), but how many female leaders are in this show besides the main girl? I know we're all PC and shite these days, but if you want to get a good idea of how low a glass ceiling can get, transport yourself to a post-apocalyptic world because I guarantee there won't be a whole lot of females in power.

There are no real female leaders on the show. Like seriously, you can't level that criticism on the show. Pretty much anyone that held any sort of official or unofficial authority on the show has been male.

the whole idea of power, even cars and batteries just turning off is ridiculous.

A geomagnetic reversal would nullify all electricity.

Maybe I am wrong but anyone growing up in that world wouldn't be so dramatic. Death and despair would seemingly be commonplace. Yet she overreacts and gets so damn emotional about everything. Every negative thing I have said about the show has be the result of getting pissed off about her most recent crying or brooding spell. Once you see her in a scene you start noticing all kinds of dumb stuff that otherwise you would have let slide.

For you people who say "but this isn't a real world so don't point out real stuff". Just because it isn't real doesn't mean it doesn't have to be believable. Charlie wouldn't be that damn emotional or stubborn in that world or she would not have lasted 30 minutes after leaving their village.

With that said, I thought the child version of her was spot on.

That is exactly what I've been thinking, no way somebody who gets so upset over killing someone trying to kill her would last in that world
