Is there any visible construction going on in the South Endzone? Cranes, equipment, etc?

It during the season. No way.

Still the way they centered the Tiger Stadium letters show they're ready to move soon.

LSU is advising fans to arrive early for the Tigers' game against South Carolina on Saturday and be aware of changes in access to gates on the south end of Tiger Stadium due to a construction zone created by renovations.
LSU has begun preliminary construction on a new addition to the south end zone of Tiger Stadium that will add suites, club seats and general public seating for the 2014 season.

There will be limited pedestrian access to gates in the southeast corner of the stadium for fans coming from South Stadium Drive. Gates most impacted by the construction zone are Gates 11, 12, 14, 18 (Tiger Den Suites) and 20 (East Ramp), as well as Portal B on the southwest corner of the stadium.

For fans who enter through Gates 11, 12, 14, 18 and 20 on the east side of the stadium, the encouraged pedestrian route is to use Fieldhouse Drive and walk down to the stadium via Powerhouse Lane and walkways by Hatcher Hall and Johnston Hall.

Although all gates will be open, fans who sit in the south end zone are encouraged to use Gates 1-3 on the west side of the stadium.

Fans can go to www.LSUsports.net/SEZ for a map of the construction zone and suggested walking routes to the stadium.

Walked by today. They're going to be doing foundation work for a long time. It's a huge project. The only visible construction right now is a few 4-foot iron/concrete pillars coming from the ground.

Must say I'm a bit surprised that this project is going to span pretty much two whole seasons before its ready. Seems like they could have done it in one year

Theyre just driving test piles at the moment, thats most likely what the 4 foot pillars refereed to above are, and the derrick thing is a pile driver.

Suites and club seats are sold out and locked in for multiple year contracts. And that is all "they" care about
