Looks like I'll be attending the Ohio State v. Indiana game this weekend

In what I can only describe as a strange twist of fate and perhaps some terrible life decisions, my company has decided to fly me to Indianapolis and then take me to the Indiana game in Bloomington.
I get to sit in the suites (I'm sure these aren't super expensive, but nice) since a former player on Indiana back when they were good in the 80s is setting us up, ie he runs shite.
What sucks, besides the Hoosiers, is the game is exactly at the time of LSU/USC, but I have to rub elbows when given the chance.
So, since there are obviously no IU fans around, I ask the Buckeyes, what should I force my Indiana brethren to show me in Bloomington? I'm supposed to hit some bars and stuff.
We can also talk about the matchup, IU put up a fight last week.

I don't remember much of the details, but I went to a Buckeyes/IU football game in Bloomington a few years back with a group of buddies. We didn't go to the bar scene since none of us were over 21 yet, so we went to another guys house on campus that we knew.
I imagine the bar scene is fun there, but I'm solely basing that off the fact that we had a fricking blast and just drank around campus houses. The campus/area is sweet and I think Bloomington is where they let you leave the stadium at half and re-enter, but I could be wrong. Sorry, I'm not much help.

Ya, a few of these people are IU grads so I'm sure I'll get a decent tour. I expect it to be a nice college town and fun. I heard Nebraska does that halftime thing too. I'm told the tailgate starts at 6:30 for the 8PM game. I laughed and asked AM or PM cause that seems a little late for what I'm used to at LSU.
The CSB of this whole thing is that the former player I spoke about tackled Deion Sanders in their bowl game.
As he tells the story:
"Every one says I had the angle on him, but I'm pretty sure I just caught him from behind."

Maybe I'll try that in another year or so if they still like me.

this is a night game so the crowd should be good but usually its a majority of Ohio State fans there. for your sake I would hope Indiana comes to play and Ohio State lays an egg and its a close game. I've never been to Bloomington for a football game so I can't help sadly.
and dont judge Big Ten tailgating on IU. Ohio State tailgates well, but I'm sure there will a lot left to be desired in Bloomington, but I know they party somewhat.

Ya, I'm smart enough to know that IU isn't going to be the benchmark. I have been praying for a close game or an upset just for my amusement and to make it awesome. No offense to OSU, I'd be like that at any downtrodden school I had to attend.
One of my coworkers who is gonna be my guide pretty much already told me we are gonna get smashed. That's good to hear I can relax a bit on the trip.

That's almost too mean.

I went to a game some years ago and it really is a majority Ohio State fans. They expanded the stadium by like 15k seats (no idea why) and i expect there to be even more OSU fans. The people were actually really good about it, they know they suck. Bloomington is a nice little college town too! Its college football, you will enjoy yourself regardless.

That's not the worst thing....tOSU fans tore down the IU goalposts in '96 when they clinched the Rose Bowl berth!

I've always heard that the IU campus and Bloomington was really nice.

Bar scene is legit in Bloomington. My buddies and I during my time at OSU made the trek over their for the games, but just bar hopped. Also noticed a strong ratio of females to males; so it should be easy to acquire one if you are not a goober, nomsayin?

All too pale and fat for someone from NOLA.

I expect Indiana to hang with us this weekend, it will be a defenseless shoot out.

Went to a game last year and it's actually a pretty solid stadium. I imagine it will feel like an OSU home game this week
