Year & Position National Rank
1995 OSU (OC) 29
1996 OSU (OC) 51+
1997 OSU (OC) 51
2001 OSU 104
2002 OSU 21
2003 OSU 32
2004 OSU 52
2005 LSU 60
2006 LSU 11
2007 LSU 26
2008 LSU 58
2009 LSU 112
2010 LSU 86
2011 LSU 86
2012 LSU 76

Hard to see any kind of glaring pattern with these numbers, but there does appear to be downward trend over time with Miles (if he is truly running the offense). Those numbers since 2008 are just pathetic, they are completely indefensible with the level of talent that LSU has enjoyed on that side of the ball...unfortunately, thus far, it's the same this year.

They are horrible considering that our defense has gotten better every year and the other team is going 3 and out.

I agree with you. I keep wondering why with all the talent, out offense is this horrible every year.

Again, in this conference I do not expect to be top 10 in FBS, but is top 50 too much to ask?

This is exactly right. Every year its the same thing..."if this offense can put up 50-100 yards more and maybe a touchdown more per game, no one will beat LSU." Here we are again in October wondering where our offense is, and why no one can involved with this team can tell us why this team is again so inept on offense.

Oh well, that will be my last critical post about the team this week. Its out of my system. Time to talk badly about Alabama and Ole Miss and then make fun of South Carolina's mascot and fanbase.

Would be nice if Miles started here in 2009.

Looks like his best years were with Gundy and Jimbo.

Also, this is only 6 games into the season against mostly bad teams. If things continue as they have (and there is nothing in the history here to show us that this team won't maintain it's current vector) the ranking will be much much lower than 76th by the end of the year.
