I suspect many of them know about him now, but I guarantee you that after the game we'll ALL be painfully aware of who he is.

Ugly slugfest (think 11/5/2011)

LSU - 24
USCe- 13

Turnovers/field position will decide this game.

ETA: I'm editing my score, because an idiotic thread made me realize that this team will be hungry, Tiger Stadium will be rockin', and LSU will roll.

I think this point has been largely overlooked on this board. Florida's punter was clutch last Saturday.

Will USCe score more than 50 points? A guy at my work wants to bet me that they score 50 points on the Tigers.

I'm a SC fan and I say no way in hell. Take his money.

LSU has to get the passing game going or it's going to be tough sledding for the tigers. SC has 4 SR linebackers, and one of the best D-lines in the nation (as most of you know). If LSU can't get the passing game going, SC will simply stack the box with 7 or 8 and shut down the run. Watch the replay of the UGA game from this weekend, that's exactly what they did (in contrast to the Mizzou game where they "only" rushed 4 and dropped 7 in coverage). They totally dominated on both sides of the ball. Now, I'm not suggesting that in this upcoming game the gamecocks O-line is going to run over LSU's D-line, but the reverse could be true. IF SC forces LSU to become 1 dimensional (or Miles chooses to be so with his play calling), this could be a very tough game for the tigers. Given that LSU ran the ball 25 times for 42 yards vs Fla, this plays right into the hands of SC's defense.

Look for SC to call run plays consistently (65% of the time hand off's to Lattimore, and 35% of the time QB draws and zone read QB runs), and set up the passing game with play action. Looks for 50-60 run plays and 15-20 pass plays. They will look to ground and pound and control the clock.

I won't call a score, but I think it's a low scoring affair with the cocks prevailing by 7 or less.

The Ole "Ball" coach gives Miles a proverbial tea bagging.

I agree that it will be a defensive slugfest. LSU leads 6-3 at halftime and scores a late go-ahead touchdown to rock the saturday night crowd

LSU 13
USCe 10

Miles does NOT lose twice in a row (only happened once - 2008). Tiger Stadium at night = unstoppable (35-1 - only loss to UF in 2009).

That is an absolute worthless stat to bring up and has no bearing on who will win this Saturday or how USC will play. At least try to bring some logic to the discussion.

Face it, the Defense is good, but Florida threw it 12 times, spurrier and shaw and lattimore will burn us. Linebacker is thinning more with no K. Alexander. Offense speaks for itself.

If we play smart, execute and mix it up...

LSU 24-21

If not...

SC 27-0

I think we could be shut out...
