next season I will be shooting a hybrid vita shock broadhead.

It is a combo fixed 2 blade BH followed by a 4" expanding mechanical that has a hollow point that accomodates the ultra small and light zip gun that goes into the arrow shaft which fires a necked down 243-7mm-08 vita shock bullet on impact.

I figure I can take all of the quatering toward 35 yrd shots I want with this thing and even if I am off a little it really will not matter.

MMMMMMM meat on the table.

Man I wish I had been off today and seen this thread. I'll go a pretty good ways to put my dog to work.

Hope the deer makes it.

I'm planning on hiring out my gyp once she gets a year under her belt. I love me some damn tracking as long as it's somebody else's deer

For future reference, southernbloodtracker.com has the phone numbers of a few dogs for hire around the state. I don't personally know any of them, but it's worth a shot if you get in a bind again.

I know a few people with dogs but they were at work and others charge $75 and didn't wanna pay that. In hindsight I should have

Obviously there are three options here: Shot placement was off due to wind sheer or your bow got knocked off, the deer has super freak cat reflexes and moved while arrow was in air or that the muzzy killed the deer so quickly that it allowed the black panther to consume it quicker therefore you found no deer.

Picked up the feather and used it to mark that spot.

True explanation is that it was operator error.

The Muzzy failed to open or the blades snapped in half.
